Alex’s sense of care and intuition make her classes supportive, empowering, and delicious. Alex is a Yoga Alliance certified teacher, having completed 500+ hours of teacher training in Australia and overseas. Since teaching in NSW and VIC, Alex comes to Hobart with a wealth of experience and knowledge. Alex specialises in female health yoga, pre and postnatal, vinyasa flow, and restorative classes. Her teachings are personal, unique, and threaded with mindful cues to build focus and a sense of immersive, moving meditation in practice. Alex offers modifications to ensure all levels feel nurtured, challenged, and always safe. Fostering mind-body connection, her classes guide intention and empowerment, self-compassion, and deep relaxation.

    Suitable from 12 weeks pregnant until your baby arrives (40+ weeks), for complete beginners through to advanced yogis.


    A blend of strengthening and softening practices to support a strong and healthy pregnancy, this prenatal class is offered as an evolving practice that grows with you. Practice is feathered with breathwork, anatomical education and birthing tools to promote calm and support labour.


    Tailored postures and movement promote circulation and can alleviate aches, pains and discomforts that may arise during pregnancy.


    Safely target and strengthen your core, build pelvic floor awareness and strength to support the duration of your pregnancy. Now is a great time to build these foundations for labour and postnatal healing.


    Cultivate connection with yourself and baby.

    Deep relaxation and breathing practices will give you a tool kit for pregnancy and beyond, while building a healthy nervous system for the babe-in-utero.


    Take this time to nourish yourself, and connect with likeminded women in this dedicated space for prenatal support.

  • A playful class with benefits for both mum and baby.

    For mums 6 weeks postpartum onwards, (with the all clear from their Midwife, Obstetrician or GP) and little yogis 6 weeks old until crawling.

    Nourish yourself, recover, restore and repair - while bonding with baby.

    Safely build strength and tone the essential core muscles that can be weakened by pregnancy and birth.

    Open and release areas that may have tightened throughout pregnancy, recovery or feeding.
    Babies receive gentle stimulation that supports their development through sounds, rhythm, simple movements, and massage.

    Bring a blanket for baby to lay on and a few of their favourite toys. Feeding (breast and bottle) is
    welcome in class and if you’re comfortable, you don’t even need to leave your mat.

    There is even a space for Nappy changes.

    For beginners and experienced yogis alike. Anything can happen in this class so come prepared to relax and enjoy this fun class with other mums!

Pregnancy, Prenatal and Postnatal Treatments

Combinations of pregnancy massage, acupuncture (no contra-indicated points) or acupoint massage can support lymphatic system, back pain from increased weight and discomfort. Please enquire if interested in acupuncture and Herbal medicine for Fertility, during pregnancy including risk of miscarriage, and for supporting labour. Evidence and effectiveness varies depending on specific factors. Health Fund rebates depend on level of cover and participating funds.

HypnoBirthing Classes

All births can be joyful! Join our upcoming HypnoBirthing Course with Penelope Large to help you approach pregnancy and birth with confidence so you can bring your baby into the world with an empowered approach using techniques to support the birthing body physically, mentally, and spiritually. This course is designed for the birthing mother and their support person so you both approach birth and parenthood united and with love. The mindset and techniques you will develop will benefit your birth experience as well as set you up for the post-partum period and beyond.

Come join Penelope for 5 x 2.5 hour sessions (12.5 hours total), 6.30pm - 9pm, Tuesdays from 30 July - 27 August.
