Acupuncturist
Warren Wilson is an experienced Acupuncturist and practitioner of East Asian Medicine with over 38 years in clinical practice.
Warren's treatment style is gentle yet effective, designed to activate the body’s natural healing abilities and restore balance. He also offers “non-insertion” Acupuncture for sensitive individuals and children, ensuring a comfortable experience. These treatments can assist people with numerous conditions ranging from musculoskeletal and sporting injuries to chronic fatigue, insomnia, sleeping disorders and a range of digestive issues. The body always knows how to heal. It just needs some assistance when out of balance and harmony. Acupuncture can facilitate this healing process.
In 1997, he established Acupuncture Synergy Health in Gordon, Sydney, which he ran for 26 years, before relocating to Hobart in December 2023, where he now practices at Beach Road Body and Mind in Sandy Bay.
Warren has trained extensively in East Asia, spending seven years in Korea under Dr. Oh Soo Il, and six years with Qi Gong and Taoist meditation master Yang Yohan. He also studied Zen Shiatsu in Japan with Takeo Suzuki and completed intensive Acupuncture training in Nanning, China. His education has been enriched by esteemed practitioners like Kiiko Matsumoto , Tsuyoshi Shimamura and Masaaki Nakano, all influenced by the classical foundations of Chinese Acupuncture.
He graduated from the Brisbane College of Traditional Acupuncture in 1986, earning a degree in Acupuncture along with diplomas in Herbal Medicine and Chinese Massage. Registered with AHPRA and the Chinese Medicine Board of Australia, Warren is dedicated to ongoing professional development through workshops and seminars, reflecting his passion for the field.
Beyond acupuncture, Warren has a rich background in meditation and martial arts, with over 50 years of meditation practice and 45 years in various martial arts styles. He integrates meditation and breath awareness techniques into his approach, helping clients manage stress and enhance physical performance. Outside of work, Warren enjoys bushwalking, body surfing, yoga, and gardening, and is committed to nurturing his local environment through sustainable practices. He is eager to support individuals on their journey to health and well-being.
